Buying guide

200G transceivers from TIFNEX

200G QSFP56 modules are used mainly in HDR InfiniBand fabrics and some 200G Ethernet deployments. TIFNEX supplies SR4 (MPO-12 multimode, up to 100m) and FR4 (2km single-mode) modules, coded mostly for NVIDIA/Mellanox switches and adapters.

For short GPU-to-switch links, 200G DAC, AOC and breakout cables are often more cost-effective. Read our AI data center networking guide for how HDR and NDR fabrics are built.

Common questions

Is 200G QSFP56 used for Ethernet or InfiniBand?

Both, but most demand comes from HDR InfiniBand clusters built on NVIDIA/Mellanox Quantum switches.

What reach do 200G SR4 modules support?

About 100m over OM4 multimode fiber with an MPO-12 connector.

Can I split a 200G port into two 100G links?

Yes, with a QSFP56 to 2x QSFP56 (HDR100) breakout cable on supported NVIDIA switches.
