LC and SC patch cords from TIFNEX
LC duplex is the standard connector for SFP, SFP+, SFP28 and most QSFP28 and 400G FR4/LR4 optics. TIFNEX supplies more than 840 LC and SC patch cords, including LC-LC, LC-SC and SC-SC, in UPC and APC polish, simplex and duplex, and in OS2 single-mode and OM3, OM4 and OM5 multimode.
Uniboot and push-pull tab versions are available for high-density panels. Lengths run from 0.5m to 30m and beyond. For parallel optics, see MTP/MPO trunks.
Common questions
What is an LC uniboot patch cord?
A uniboot cord carries both fibers in one round jacket with a single boot, saving space in dense patch panels. Polarity can usually be reversed in the field.
Can I connect an LC/UPC to an LC/APC port?
No. Mating UPC and APC connectors causes high loss and can damage the end faces. Use the same polish at both ends of each connection.
Which patch cord do I need for 10GBASE-SR?
An LC-LC duplex OM3 or OM4 multimode patch cord.
